Hello! My name is Alivia Latondress. I am thrilled to be your child’s social studies teacher! I am excited to get to know your student and help him/her grow academically, emotionally, and socially!

I live in Round Lake with my husband, Mike, and my two children, Jakob and Julia. My husband works for Union Pacific Railroad. My son, Jakob, is a sophomore at Grant Community High School; and my daughter, Julia, is a third grader at Big Hollow. 

I have been a classroom teacher for 22 years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English from Northeastern Illinois University. I have endorsements in language arts and social science. I also have a Masters degree from Saint Xavier University. 

Social studies is a lot of fun, and I know we are going to have a wonderful school year!
